Congratulations to Gendron! He proved many of us wrong in terms of his coaching ability to advance this team through the season. While he deserves credit, much of the credit goes to the players who believed in one another. It can be debated as to how much that was influenced by Gendron. Earning COTY will certainly be a feather in Red's cap, but I would bet that Ralph and Co would be skeptical, at least if they're as big of hockey guys as they seem/should be coming from hockey schools. If I were them, I'd be taking a "wait and see" approach, because if Maine completely implodes next year and is on the fringes of the playoff hunt or even misses it entirely, he should be in trouble.
At the same time, you could do worse than Red.Comment
