I could roll with Bloomberg. I wouldn't vote a second term as of right now, but he'd do. Not my first nor second choice, though.
Never really developed a taste for tequila. Kind of hard to understand how you make a drink out of something that sharp, inhospitable. Now, bourbon is easy to understand.

And no one has any ill will if anyone wants to volunteer and campaign to their heart's content for any of the candidates, or if they don't, for that matter. By all means, at this time, if there is one of the 5/6 you're all in for, awesome, do all you can for them, this is the time to do it. I personally am not all in with anyone, but I am more than OK with any of the 5/6 if it comes to that. I haven't decided where I'm voting in the primary, I want to see where things sit the week before the primary to see how my vote can have the largest effect. Maybe that's being a little too opportunistic, but oh well.

But once a candidate is decided upon, even if it isn't your top choice, you have to buck up and vote for them, even reluctantly, if you care at all about getting rid of Trump as much as you should. Yes, they will probably have a few things you don't like about them. But on the plus side, they will be a smart, competent, and functional adult and really that should be more than enough. Honestly, while I haven't volunteered yet since I don't have a clear favorite, once the nomination is decided I'm going all in on phone banking and such like I did in 2016. You can even ride hard on them to fix the things you don't like about them, you can mention it too, but c'mon, you gotta at least give them your vote because the other choice, even if you go for a third party, is Trump.

This moment encapsulates the smug, entitled, “gives no ****s about the plebes” jag that Bloomberg is: https://twitter.com/maxblumenthal/st...405132801?s=21

The irony is he doesnt see he is more a part of the problem than we could ever be. They never do.

You get it. They dont. You ignore it, but you have shown you have a blind spot when you want to see the best in people.
I would express it that I won't throw people away when they are our greatest resource in beating the Nazis. "We must all hang together or we shall assuredly hang separately." This is for keeps: we see in Russia what happens when authoritarianism wins. It means we need everyone, and we can't afford to waste cycles insulting or excluding each other. We need everyone, especially those who are most passionate.

Everybody here knows I learned this lesson too late. Rover and I are Exhibit A why we lost in 2016: we spent 90% of our energy being as-sholes to each other and Dump waltzed in because of us. We were the Democratic party in microcosm: an entertaining reality show but not an effective resistance. It's too late to be clever now. We're fighting for our freedom and our children's lives. We have to end the Nazis as an influential force within American society and that means defeating every Republican from Dump to dog catcher. We must eradicate them as a political force.

Anyone who does not vote in November for the candidate with the best chance of defeating Trump is a Trump voter and a full-on supporter of his policies.

I wish one of the Democratic candidates would just hit Sanders with his pro Soviet, pro Sandinista past now. The Trump ads for November write themselves and I'd rather see the public reaction now while there's time to replace him if it hurts too much.

Putin will decide when the pro-Soviet attack ads begin.

Yup. If you cry that Bernie is a socialist (while being ok with massive corporate welfare) or that Bloomberg doesn’t like trans people, then you’re saying that trump is less damaging and you’re ok with 4 more years, then probably 8 more with Jr or ivanka

There’s a Super PAC, The Big Tent Project, whose executive director is a top aide to Joe Manchin, that is spending millions airing aids against Sanders in Nevada and South Carolina calling him a socialist, etc. It’s not coming from an actual candidate, but the stuff will be out there. Their rationale was the same as yours: hit him with it now so that Trump can’t use it in November. That, and the donors behind the ads probably hate Sanders.
