I didn't realize the Northeast Generals were located in Attleboro, Mass. Thought they were in Springfield. Depending on covid, I might be able to see a game or two.

Depending on covid, they will play or not. (They could, of course, play without fans.)

That's it for today. Tomorrow each team will have a tender which they can use for anyone. The rest of the draft will be in July. A lot of over-age USHL players were taken (2000 births) especially early in the draft. That probably is to be expected as many won't make the USHL because of the overage limit, as James McIsaac for example a year ago.

I thought that he could be drafted, but i didn't expect him to go today in the three rounds. This probably mans that they want him.
After seeing Chicago waste a high pick on Jonathan Bendorf I realize there are no guarantees, but it looks like I may have a good reason to scan the Danbury Jr. Hat Tricks (at one time Danbury was the hat making capital of the country) schedule. Except for an early season showcase the eastern teams just play each so there could be a dozen or so Maryland (although I hope Leibold is actually in the USHL) and Northeastern games. I'm still holding out hope for Nykanen.

Danbury? I thought the hat making capital was in Susquehanna.......”slowly I turn...
Brandon Pirri: Turk would give it to Jagr. That's awesome! Jagr's untouchable. And he would give it to Jagr.

I want to keep these together

I have updated the men's recruits whom I had listed as 2020 arrivals based upon my own best guesses. Due the uncertainty of players leaving early, I have not updated other recruits although it is unlikely that the class entering in 2021 will be large.

The years the men's recruits are listed as committed for are not necessarily accurate.
The dates on which some of the women are listed as committing on may be considerably after the actual dates.
I am assuming that Neutral Zone regards their Star ratings as public because they often tweet them with committals.

Actually the hat making capital like most everything else has probably moved to eastern Asia.

You’re right Doc. I forgot it was Niagara Falls. It was the Susquehanna Hat Company in Niagara Falls.
Brandon Pirri: Turk would give it to Jagr. That's awesome! Jagr's untouchable. And he would give it to Jagr.

I'll save others the trouble. It's almost an hour long and no discussion of Finn Brown.

Except for an early season showcase the eastern teams just play each so there could be a dozen or so Maryland (although I hope Leibold is actually in the USHL) and Northeastern games. I'm still holding out hope for Nykanen.
I still think that Nykanen ends up in the BCHL or AJHL (hopefully BCHL).

Sometimes I wish i could get rid of the minutia that is kept stored in my brain. I would like to make room for some new stuff!

That certainly is possible. To me he is the biggest question mark.

Do not think this got posted

The Northeast Generals of the North American Hockey League (NAHL) took part in the leagues 3 round supplemental draft today. With a veteran roster returning the Generals were able to add 3 Forwards to a team that will already feature a potent offense.
In the second round the Generals continued to add size and junior experience with the selection of 6’3″ Forward and RPI Commit Eric Fawkes. Fawkes split time between the NAHL and the MJHL last year where he had 10 goals. “Eric is a player we have liked for a few years. Big kid that can skate. Plays the right way. Not losing a ton of forwards makes it great to be able to plug in guys that have experience but also fit into our style of play. Eric is a high character kid that we think will fit into what we are building here.”
“We drafted the 3 players we had targeted so we are extremely happy. We want to continue to play an extremely aggressive style of hockey. Move the puck and transition quickly to offense. We think Kyle, Eric and Tommy all fit into what we are trying to do. We also had an amazing locker room last year. Our Captain, Dylan Schuett, did an amazing job of keeping everyone engaged and working hard. We wanted to make sure we added players that would fit into our great culture and we feel we did that. We still have holes to fill in the July entry draft but we are really excited about our roster composition right now.” continued GM/Head Coach Bryan Erikson.
