My thought is they will be the last team in or will the committee not want 3 NEHC teams in the tournament, even though that happened last year with UMB.
Again, it has nothing to do with the committee. They either get in with their PWR ranking or they don’t. Or win their conference tournament. That’s the only things that matter.

That would depend how much Stevens Point would go up/Eau-Claire would drop. The WIAC isn't guaranteed any bids, so they can both make it...or neither can make it

Just based on the RPI numbers right now. I’d say if Stevens Point wins they both make it. Assuming no other upsets

So there would be more than 4 teams from the West? How would this play out with the 500 mile rule

SP will jump Babson if they beat Eau Claire. Tough to say where Trinity ends up if they win their semi final and lose to Williams in the final also

This happened a couple of years ago (2018?). The west played out as:
                  - Marian @ Augsburg (Opening Round) -> SNC (QF)
                  - Adrian @ UWSP (QF)

This worked out well because only Augsburg and Adrian couldn't play each other.

A similar bracket would work if St. Thomas wins the MIAC.

NU deserves the first round bye, quick glance they are 6-0 over teams ranked in the top 20 in PW rankings.
How many does your team have? Utica is 6-2.

Travel costs will determine byes, not rankings.

Bracket integrity is secondary to travel costs. Ideally, you would have seeds 1-4 with a bye, seeds 5-8 with first round home games and 9-12 on the road, but that could lead to too many flights.

Look at the losses though: Utica lost to PWR #14 Elmira and #20 Stevenson...Norwich lost to PWR #63 Castleton and #35 Middlebury.

Also, Utica is 7-2 against the Top 20.

Doesn't matter, but Norwich is 7-0 against top 20 PWR teams.
