And I think the gov't missed greatly with the age of 21.
Never really developed a taste for tequila. Kind of hard to understand how you make a drink out of something that sharp, inhospitable. Now, bourbon is easy to understand.

Yes, because businesses would never do anything that put their employees in harms way in order to make an extra buck.

The BS is the exemptions for casinos in Iowa. So the smoking ban is to protect employee health, but casino employees don't matter? Fark that.

The employees choose to work there. Just as customers choose to give those businesses their money. If the model doesn't work, the business is free to ban smoking because of a company policy.

So Fark the poor for not having a better place to work. And screw child labor laws, those kids chose to work there too.

That's a bit of a leap and an extreme one, at that.

                    Correct.

Look at the dietary changes in the past few years. Veganism, vegetarianism, gluten-free...the demand is there, so places changed to meet the demand.

I fully believe smoking indoors would have adjusted w/o government intervention. Some places would still have it, if it didn't hurt the business, and others would have done away with it. But it would have been THEIR choice, not the government's.

150 years of well-reasoned argument went into that emoticon. If you are unfamiliar with it I refer you to the entire economic history of the United States post Herbert Spencer.

As a smoker who does not smoke indoors, and having worked in the service industry for about 6 years (and possibly re-entering the industry in the long future), and mostly against needless gov't regulations...the market would have corrected itself to fit the needs/wants of their customers.

By that logic flint water should be fixed by the private market now right?

Step back. All these "impossible burgers" are because of non-private companies, right? They are due to gov't regulations. Surrrrrrre. Businesses will do what it takes to make money. And if smoking indoors doesn't hurt business? They'll keep it. If it hurts? It's gone. Simple.
