It also willfully ignores that under every system invented by man so far the Rich have corrupted "equal" treatment and violated the Poor. Libertarianism is an even worse crock of sh-t Utopia than Communism, and that is saying something.

It's a way for the rich to pull the covers over their head and claim their hands are clean:

It's the personification of the STEM whizkid in his freshman dorm: everything about it flatters the manboy with no responsibilities or dependencies who has the education and resources to make his way, no systemic bigotries to hold him down, and no immediate health issues to worry about.

It is the politico-econo-fap fantasy of a sheltered smart but unsavvy adolescent boy, writ large to appeal to (and be funded by) the wealthy looking to avoid paying taxes. Its pose of moral neutrality is hypocritical in a world of obscene inequality. Its assumption of objective meritocracy belies the people purveying it had the privilege (and, to be fair, perhaps the intellectual gifts) to have an easy path to success.

They now want to see this formalized forever, and called both "practical" and "moral." Just like the warlord wants a world based on brute strength or the zealot wants it based on the Grace of the Almighty.

Just another con; this time primarily a self-delusion and rationalization for immature well-scrubbed boys.
