More than happy to provide substance unlike the guy who solely throws out ad Homs and supports big brain Pete and his terrible ideas like this one (which would cost more than 7.5% M4A payroll tan and be substantially worse because you’d still have deductibles and what not):
if you think single payer would be unpopular because it’s forcing people to use the government plan, how do you think they’d feel about finding out the government will take thousands of dollars from them as retroactive premiums (& what if they don’t even know they were insured!)

Clearly the people who can’t afford a $400 emergency or are already drowning in medical debt will benefit under this plan that hits them with thousands in taxes come tax season.Last edited by trixR4kids; 12-25-2019, 01:03 PM.

So maybe stop using the juvenile nicknames against every other candidate, stop attacking party members who aren't even running like Pelosi, and focus on the end game.
I support Mayor Pete because he's not 70, he's a Rhodes Scholar, he's not 70, he's former military, he's not 70, he's sufficiently liberal for me, and oh yeah, he's not 70.
I'll be perfectly fine if any of the septugenarians get the nomination, but they are far from my first choice.Last edited by unofan; 12-26-2019, 08:20 AM.

Originally posted by unofan View PostThere is more to politics than policy. History is littered with policy wonks who would have made fine heads of government but never got the chance because they couldn't get elected. You can be smug and demean every other candidate if you want, but remember you'll need their supporters' votes in the general if Bernie gets that far. And unless you're a disingenuous Russian hack, about 3/4ths of us will be supporting someone in the general other than our favored primary candidate, so maybe stop to think about what you're saying now and whether "9 months from now" you will cringe at what you said about the person you'll be voting for.
And policy is everything, there's literally no point in winning unless your side enacts policies that improve your life you in some way.Last edited by trixR4kids; 12-26-2019, 09:41 AM.

A Biden candidacy may well grab a few "reasonable Republican dads" at the margin (tho I'd question how GOP they are at this point), but you get the feeling we're going to focus on these mythical crossover voters when that's not what it ultimately hinges on https://t.co/Md9fer7xr9
