CNN had a segment last night where they interviewed the people in the Sanders area and asked if Bernie was not the nominee would they all support any Dem nominee. Every person said yes they would, enthusiastically.

The distinction of Sanders supporters as being different from others is BS. He's just a candidate; they're just voters.

Is there any chance that the distraction of the impeachment might be part of the reason things went pear shaped last night?

I’m glad we got rid of the caucus this year. Unfortunately we won’t have ranked choice in the primary until the 2024 election.

Caucuses are fine in theory -- live RCV is cool! But in practice it's exclusionary. Now combine with holding the first choice in the most lily white and rural state in the country and you couldn't design a system to suppress the influence of liberals and POC more if you did it deliberately.

It sounded like the Republican caucus was just a secret ballot single vote. How is that any different than a primary except for the shorter voting window?

Apparently you missed the entrance polls showing Iowa's Democrats that caucused were more liberal than national Democrats as a whole.

They do candidate speeches on site before casting their paper votes.

CJ would be a lot more believable if she didn't also write stuff like this.

I'm afraid she's a Useful Idiot, solo. She's on the side of good with this one piece but, as with John Bolton, don't bring that scorpion across the river.

Here's my critical test: have you personally met any BBs who were like this?

If you have, fine. I have never met a Bernie Bro who meets the stereotype and I have met hundreds of Bernie supporters.

We could build a meme of Cannibal Klobuchar Supporters if we wanted to.

It is humorous to read comments from reasonably wealthy, college-educated white guys complaining about the "Bernie Bros" who comprise one of the most diverse campaigns in American history.
