Games IMO where goaltending cost them a W include (Save % in parens):

    T vs. N. Michigan (.800)
L @ Providence (.824) -- to be fair, this game could've gone either way given how porous both team's goaltending was
    L @ Dartmouth (.844)

In those games, if BU gets average D-1 goaltending, BU would likely be 11-6-4 right now.

Any Boston bar with any sort of personality seems to have closed or will close in the near future. It's a shame.

Well that's rotten to hear. Lo many years ago now when I played club hockey games at Walter Brown while I was in grad school, a group of us would often head over to T's afterwards for some beers and wing dings. Many a good time was had. Sad to hear it's on its way out.

Would Ed Ronan be given the same opportunity to go from two terrible seasons to an okay Junior season and an awesome Senior season (and an NHL career)? I highly doubt it. The season with John Bradley and Bryan LaFort in net was a disaster, but they weren't "released" (well, I'm honestly not sure about LaFort, but Bradley went on to be the HE Title winning goalie as a Senior in 1991). Is Blixt done? How about Purpura? I feel bad for some of these kids. You work your tail off to get recruited at a D-1 school, and then if you don't become a regular as a freshman, you have to be wondering if you are going to get pushed out.
Players have lost their spots regularly since the start of Hockey East. Some never played, some played a single game and some played a handful of games over one or two seasons. Here are all the players in my database that BU either listed in the media guides or appeared on the lineup sheets for a game.

The last class to have all the players stay 4 seasons was the Class of '09 (which was due to the players and not Coach Parker). This freshman class is tied (with 1991-92) for the most players with 13.

As for players losing their spot on the team, it looks like it is one or two players a season and not the three or four dekit mentions.

That was fun. And what’s up with half of the Lowell team being Assistant Captains? You get a trophy, you get a trophy, and you get a trophy ...

              Over .500!!! Woot.

I'd say Abel looks like he deserves at least half the games at this point.

I was impressed with how he played vs Concordia (although Nico Lynch stole that show) and last night vs UML when was was called on to make several tough saves. While it's a small sample size, his number for 2 2/3 games are excellent: 4 ga, 64 svs, 0.941 sv%, 1.48 gaa. Tucker's numbers, on the other hand are quite poor: 0.908 sv%, 2.79 gaa. I would make Abel the starter immediately and see it he can continue to play at the level he has so far.

Also, the PA at Lawler sounds like Charlie Brown’s teacher. Could not understand half of what he said.

Why was Harper’s goal called off? Did it not go in?
Seems like Nesn is static ridden. Anyone else getting a ton of static on the broadcast?

Chalk that up as a good tie?

Yes. 3 points on the weekend and 5-2-1 over the last 8. Not bad.

                              Sean, I'd say he's earned a shot.

srsterrier, we do have a nice run going.

if the boys reach 10 losses before 10 wins, that all goes to pot however
heck next 6 games could prove difficult
