Doesn't every Ivy have a similar story? It's always like,

"In 1860, team captain Leyton Hewitt was making his way from Dartmouth to New York to play Columbia in baseball. He became hungry and pulled out an apple for a snack, but when he bit into it, he found it was rotten. The core of this rotten apple reminded him of the hate he had to his core for the Lions, who two weeks earlier in New Hampshire had beaten Dartmouth's track and crew teams, both squads Hewitt also starred for and captained. Unfortunately, he had ingested part of the rotten apple and became ill, spending the weekend in the hospital. Finding inspiration in their debilitated teammate, Dartmouth went on to sweep Columbia that weekend in baseball, outscoring the Lions 26-2 in three games. In honor of Hewitt and the heroic team effort, every Friday before the Dartmouth-Columbia baseball series, the Psi Upsilon fraternity smashes apples and makes apple sauce, referencing the smashing Dartmouth gave Columbia nearly 150 years ago. Later, an apple sauce eating competition ensues between the upper and lowerclassmen of the fraternity. As of 2019, over 42 members of Presidential cabinets have taken part in this tradition."
