Are you ready for some fun!? Tomorrow night (Friday, Dec 6, 2019) we are hosting the first ever, Casella Waste Systems Teddy Bear Toss at the Men's Cardinal Hockey Game vs. SUNY Canton at 7pm.

Get your teddy bears and/or other stuffed animals ready for the game! All stuffed animals that are thrown on the ice after the Cardinals score their first goal of the game will be donated to "Toys for Kids."

Casella Waste Systems has graciously donated 500 teddy bears (THANK YOU, CASELLA!!) that will be available for fans, in exchange for a donation to the Clinton County Christmas Bureau. Fans are also encouraged to bring their own! Bring 3 or 5, however many you would like to donate!

Let's make this happen, Cardinal Country!
The Oswego's Men's Hockey team has a record of 803 stuffed animals... I think we can beat them!!!

During a pregame ceremony, Casella Waste Systems will be presenting the Clinton County Christmas Bureau with a $1,000 check! There will also be a ceremonial puck drop.

Thanks to Dr. Mark Thomson, Microtel, SeaComm Federal Credit Union, and Broad Street Commons for also making cash donations to the Clinton County Christmas Bureau to support this event! Additional cash donations can be made before the game or at the game.

Come join us for the last game of the semester, tomorrow, and help us, help the community, for the upcoming Holidays!

There will also be a SKATE WITH THE CARDS with a toy drive, this Saturday, December 7th from 1-2:30pm. Come meet the Men's and Women's Cardinal Hockey Teams, bring a toy donation for "Toys for Kids" and skate at the Ronnie B.! Skating will be free, rentals will be available for $3 ($2 for students).

We hope to see you all!
Have a great day and GO CARDS!

    Here I go again...

Utica has done the TBT for years now, and it's fairly pointless. It would make a lot more sense to donate that $5-10 towards a 526 for the underprivileged kids than to give them a soon-to-be discarded toy.

And, that silly spectacle ruins the flow of the game as well. Takes 20 minutes to clean that **** up.

(Unless you consider the Trinity game at The Aud a couple of years back, when The Bantams shut-out UC on their way to a NC, and the few folks left there chucked the dolls out there after the final buzzer., and looking completely depressed while at it.)

It's an empty gesture, at best. All show, no substance.

Didn't mean to be either a troll nor the Grinch. Would simply rather donate the money to the food bank or something else that's more meaningful.

We always haul a lot of non-perishables to The Aud for the food-bank night. And still, we pay for our tickets.

And, to "bah, humbug" further, the clean up of 4,000 stuffed critters amounts to a 3rd intermission to sit-through.

Who in the world has time for THAT???

Granted Norwich only has about 1500 socks thrown on the ice but the cleanup literally took us all of 3 minutes...not sure how much longer the cleanup takes for the bears in Utica.

Feels like another intermission. I'll time it next Saturday, but roughly 4,000 toys on the ice takes a while. Some of them are the size of Rhode Island.

Plattsburgh High School hockey team took to the ice to help with cleanup and had the more than 700 bears picked up in minutes as well. Very smooth... And Bah Humbug to Fishman...

The weather was lousy last night, and the announced "sell-out" featured at least 1,000 no-shows...

Still, it was a 12-minute delay, getting the toys off the ice.

                            So there, and bah-humbug.

Fox skated in two games, his first career AHL action, after signing his PTO with the Wolf Pack on Saturday, and was scoreless and even.
