    Gotcha.
Never really developed a taste for tequila. Kind of hard to understand how you make a drink out of something that sharp, inhospitable. Now, bourbon is easy to understand.

Finished S3 of Big Mouth. The two-part finale (3.09-3.10) was absolutely wonderful.

Yeah, I think that was the first men. Really old, a thousand years or more before the GoT events, early Starks and Lannisters.

Is that about Valyria, or even before them?

Saw an ad for Red Moon. I really hope the OTL Russians take the hint and go to Mars. Or Proxima Centauri.

Another "what if the Soviets won the space race" TV series? Or was it Apple TV +'s "For All Mankind" series?

Yes. I like the concept -- we lose the moon so we get even more hyped up, throw NASA into overdrive, and plan to explore the universe. Muthaf-cka yes!

So it is the Apple TV series then. I wasnt too sure about it yet. I kinda liked the trailers, but it felt like it was copying too much of The Man in the High Castle (which, I guess is similar to 11.22.63 and whatever that NBC show was that dealt with time travel/alternate history (Jesus there's a huge genre of dystopian "what-if" "historic" TV)).

I'll probably try to watch it if I get the AppleTV+ subscription just because I enjoy NASA related shows (JAG S1E19 is one of my favorites, and I hated that FOX cut the Corbin Bernsen NASA show "The Cape" so quickly.)

The irony about this is the TV version of The Man in the High Castle didn't copy The Man in the High Castle. It's like the movie version of The Princess Bride* -- they took the setting but they (intentionally) left the meaning behind as unsaleable.

Fan boys and anti-intellectual Handies don't get your knickers in a twist, I'm right there with you; I love the movie of TPB. It is a completely different thing and not a scratch on the original but wonderful in its own way. In fact I think it's an elaborate joke by Goldman to illustrate one of the fundamental points of the "real" TPB, which is of course the tale by S. Morgenstern, and has never published. And I am still waiting for Buttercup's Baby.

I remember back in the day when the whole season of The Cape was on late late at night. I would watch it cause I was an insomniac. It was enjoyable for what it was

Binge watching Penny Dreadful. It was sloppy but it had real promise, and it had ambition which is more than 99% of the sh-t out there.

I enjoyed S2 mostly because of the lead actors across the board, but I thought were some significant plot holes, some failed "gotchas" and the ending was way too neat and tidy.

Krasinski is good again, and Pierce, Molla, Rapace are awesome as usual. But yeah, there were a few moments in episodes two and three that have me scratching my head.
