  • Re: RPI Pick-To-Click 2019-2020

Congrats to MavHockey14, who swooped in from their hiatus and took the weekly win! I didn't need that point or anything. :P

It was a tale of two near-shutouts this weekend, with Friday's game going in RPI's favor. As has happened so many times this season, no player earned more than 2 PtC points and this time 6 players reached that level. Of them, Mike Gornall (G; Ralph Baer, sezenack) and Simon Kjellberg (A; lugnut92, MavHockey14) were the only Engineers selected. Brown defenseman James Crossman (no one) scored their lone goal to break Savory's shutout.
Saturday was not nearly as fun, with Cory Babichuk (no one) ruining Kacziflsihfawliugwlsky's shutout bid but not achieving much else of consequence. Conversely, Yale was led by an ineligible guy, followed by two more ineligible guys, Luke Stevens (lugnut92, sezenack), and Tyler Welsh (Ralph Baer, MavHockey14).

Congrats to Ralph Baer on his third weekly win of the season! It's a bummer that shootouts don't real.

The Mayor's Cup was undeniably a game that happened. RPI scored one goal, but we didn't pick Cory Babichuk. Ralph did take Zach Dubinsky, who both helped on the goal and helped Ralph win. Union also scored a goal. No one picked scorer Taylor Brierly because this was his second career goal and he's a junior. Moving on.

It's FREAKOUT! week! This marks Vermont's fourth Freakout! and their first since 2001. Before we get to the main event, however, we'll host the surprisingly good(?) Dartmouth.

Picks must be in by 7:00 ET on Friday, January 31.

You may NOT choose the following player(s) for this weekend:

Dartmouth: Drew O'Connor, Quin Foreman, and Tanner Palocsik
UVM: Jacques Bouquot, Ace Cowans, and Andrew Lucas

                          UVM: Statistics | Roster
Every Freakout! against UVM has ended in a 2-2 tie. Weird.

You got the right answer for the wrong reason. I didn't pick the goal scorer, Dubinsky, but rather Babichuk who got an assist. Both were worth 2 points, so it makes no difference.
