No roof. This one will have a retractable roof. Probably not a reason to build a completely new stadium.

The old one is allegedly going to be retrofitted for the Dallas Renegades, the XFL team.

FC Dallas’ minor league team is also going play there.

We picked Porcello up. Does he have anything left or is he ready for the glue factory?

Apparently it did not occur to them that it can get hot in Texas, and air conditioning might be a good idea. Who knew???

When you schedule your game times around the sun, it might be a good idea to dole out the extra dough for air conditioning.

I think that's a good pick up. He won't have to be "the guy," or even the second or maybe third guy.
That community is already in the process of dissolution where each man begins to eye his neighbor as a possible enemy, where non-conformity with the accepted creed, political as well as religious, is a mark of disaffection; where denunciation, without specification or backing, takes the place of evidence; where orthodoxy chokes freedom of dissent; where faith in the eventual supremacy of reason has become so timid that we dare not enter our convictions in the open lists, to win or lose.

Oh, we picked him up for the back end of the rotation -- he could even be a swing guy and work long relief. He's primarily insurance because the Mets' medical and training staff is pictured below:

BTW, the 3 PA min for relievers starts this year, right?

Maybe I'm missing something but this seems like the best news for baseball fans in about 40 years. As God is my witness, I'll never watch a LOOGY again.

It might be good, but it wont save any time. Analysis says it saves 44 seconds per game, total.

The break in the flow is more of a consideration to me. It's not so much the time (although that will help) but also the constant expectation of the breaks. Like free throws at the end of hoops. It just ruins the dramatic moments.

Personally I'd say if you start the inning you have to finish it unless you're hurt and if you're hurt you can't play again for at least x games. But nobody listens to me.

This is going to be interesting how they treat double switches. Is the rule pitch to 3 PA, or be in the game for 3 PA?
