Bemidji State 1, Mankato 0, final. Lauren Bench with the 30 save shutout for the Beavers, while Abigail Levy stopped 27 of 28. Lydia Passolt with the Beaver goal, assist to Clair DeGeorge.

Thoughts on Minnesota's play? Seemed like a slow start to me watching on the stream. Should have been an elbowing penalty on the play where Sarah Potomak was down on the ice. Thankfully she is not hurt as she returned to action later.

Through 30 minutes, the Gophers have shown a distinct lack of effort. UMD is winning all the races to the puck, and Minnesota is making weak, ill-thought out passes.

#28 for Minnesota has clear possession and just needs to make a smart play with the puck...Nope, turnover instead that results in the goal that puts UMD back ahead.

Minnesota gets an absolute gift from #14 of UMD and almost screwed up a 2-0 break...Almost...2-2 now.

Minnesota and UMD tied at 2 after two periods. The effort got a lot better as soon as I posted, though UMD's second goal came when four Gophers broke up ice just in time for the only defenseman back to get stripped of the puck. That was equaled by the Bulldogs terrible line change that let Woken score on a 2-on-0 break.

Reading the comments on UM @ UMD, it looks like nobody for either team has done anything well, but instead they're taking turns screwing up. Maybe all of these posts are actually being made by Eeyore?

Woken scores on a bad UMD change, tied at 2-2.

They would have gotten away with that bad change if Brodt didn't gift wrap a cross ice pass to the Minnesota player who for some unknown reason, actually made a quick transistion pass to Woken who looked like she frose up a bit on the 2-0 break. That however kinda screwed up Rooney so Minnesota kinda got lucky on that.

I imagine Eeyore would have had conniption fit if the Gophers wouldn't have scored on that 2-0 break.

Other than that bad line change, I think the Bulldogs have played pretty well.

Gophers had two glorious chances but shot wide. Nice tip by Elmes for the extra point.
