Totems was the name for the minor league team that played in the 50’s and 60’s so there’s history attached to it as well.

AFAIK the Thunderbirds have no intention of moving, they play in Kent anyway, and so they don’t want to give up their name.

Makes sense. Pleny of markets support both junior/minor hockey and the N. Particularly not a problem for the CHL since the whole ambiance is different. It's midway between pro and college.

I thought The Plan was to build out KeyArena? Or is it that the TBirds moved since I was out there (15 years ago, now, sheesh)?

Are you psyched to have the N coming to town or do you have qualms? Where in the city do you actually live, right downtown? Dr. Mrs. lived over by UW when she was up there.

They should just accept the inevitable and call them the Ice Thunder.

Maybe he can regain his form in Grand Rapids.

I honestly forgot just how long his tenure has been. Won the cup as a call-up and black ace. And a total of 662 NHL games (and potentially more).

And I own one of the jerseys that bookend that span (Road Griffins 08-09 jersey).

Wings win in Montreal... but lose pretty much everywhere else in Canada.

Wow... the Leafs can't play defense at all.

If you're close to Gates then you're close to cocaine.

Jeff Bezos' glass scrotum seems nice.
