KP is the real deal. Shorty got hot and Rand went with it. Not happy about the #8/#11 rankings, think it puts a target on our backs. These kids have been training together with the alumni since July. They are ready.

Been rough off-season for me, too. QUA-lum - love his posts & blog! Once Yankees stop playing, i become all hockey. have never been to a home Quinnipiac game - seem to catch them on the road easier.

my biggest concern is KP. Was KP #1 last season, before Shorty went on season long run? They each were taking one game on the weekend....

Not optimistic -- the schedule page on the website does not have an audio link. That could change, but as of now it doesn't really look good though.

Q's tilt against Brock will be the Badgers' 3rd game in three nights with significant travel in between (St. Catharines, Troy, Hamden).. If the Cats don't hang double digits on them, I'll be surprised.

Those Canadian teams can get pretty chippy in those situations which is why I hate these exhibition games.

Agree Mark, but this is good for recruiting, because they do play the game a bit different up north. They play to get into the NHL and the claim in Canada is American kids play to get into college...not sure I disagree but it is what I was told by more than 1 person.

That said, important not to forget, Bobcats played Minnesota Duluth pretty tough! They gave up open net goals in a 3-1 loss to the national champions. But Duluth skated rings around them early....and they could have used Brandon Fortunato. Duluth draws average fan base of over 10,000/game at home. Lot of depth, experience playing in front of crowd.

KP is such a good person, this team will play for him. Question is how long it takes for the Defense to gel around him - QU AL will chime in t this conversation soon with some hard promises!

                          Great read!

I think last season we saw Priske restore the culture this team needs to be successful. While I agree that goal tending is the biggest question mark to start this season, I feel if Jermain & Co can keep that culture alive this team will go far. There's plenty of reason for optimism ad the season gets under way.

Doesn’t look like anything audio from QU aside from what the Q30 guys do. Rich C and Phil G will get the majority of the ESPN+ home work. No desire to spend money on the radio teams I guess.

                              From QU:

QBSN will be still be broadcasting the games over their airwaves, you can find them at theqbsn.com or http://mixlr.com/qbsn/

On the road, it will either be the video feed from the school or their audio broadcast if they offer one. We will not have radio sponsored by Quinnipiac on the road.

Sad for an elite program to ignore their fan base (and I do realize this is not the teams doing). Radio isn't the medium it used to be but sometimes it's the only option for many fans.
