I've actually been meaning to try to make myself into a Jets fan. I've been a Seahawks fan since 1976 but now I find I just don't give a sh-t. Part of this is I just don't care about the NFC so coming back to it was a real drag.

Part of it is I may just been running out of steam on the whole NFL horror show.

So before shuffling off the football coil I was thinking about setting myself a challenge, and adopting the Jets feels tragically right.

You know, it's been 55 years but I can still recite the Confiteor in Latin.

The rest of the Prayers at the Foot of the Altar are hit and miss (in Latin, English is a snap).

The Prayer to St. Michael still hasn't removed Daniel Snyder.

St. Michael is used to get rid of Satan, though a bunch of NHL GMs did accomplish the feat.

I'd kill to have learned everything in Latin. If I had to learn all that crap anyway it might as well have been beautiful and significant. Never put your liturgy in the vernacular. It lets the riffraff in on the joke.

I learned it all in English. What Latin I have comes from my parents.

It's not hard. You had a cheat sheet in front of you. Nowadays unless you're SSPX, FSSP, or ICRS your celebrant and the altar boys both have the cheat sheet.

The Altar Cards for the Extraordinary Form are the cheat sheet for the celebrant.

Now taking this to the religion thread for a link that you may want to watch..
