        Would...would that be a bad thing? I can't imagine the population shift would change representation much. Let ID be as red as it wants, if it keeps Oregon more reliably blue.

          Not only that but I'm sure western blue OR economically supports eastern red OR. Let them go? Hell, kick them out!

          Getting rid of the backwards rural portion of the state would be a good plan in general for: OR, WA, AZ, WI, MN, VA, GA, PA, NY, FL, TX... to be honest, for most states. The meth ghettos are an economic and moral burden. Let them pull themselves up by their boostraps and stop sleeping in the welfare hammock.

            I don’t think it would set a good precedent. You’d have rural areas all over trying to “move” into states with reddest possible legislature

              A Western rural red superstate would be great. It would cost red many Senate seats and not make any difference in the House.

              Let's have all of the red districts in ID, MT, SD, NE, CO, and UT move to WY. Blue picks up 8 Senators and several EV. The resultant Greater Wyoming is about the population of Massachusetts.

                This. Considering most of those states were rushed into statehood 100+ years ago before they had the proper population, it only seems fair.
