They just did the window roll about a minute or so after CBS graphics showed them doing that.

You think it's too late for him to abort?
No, he still has time to get outta there, he just needs someone to wave him off.

CBS will land about a minute before Armstrong landed due to the retargeting

                  Captivating.

I'm lucky to stream CBS on my TV and the Apollo live feed on my computer- they are almost perfect in sync.

What I'm a little surprised with was how CBS never showed a live shot from inside the MCC until almost six minutes after touchdown, and instead stayed with their simulation and live shot of the LM simulator in Long Island. Maybe that was because of the uncertainty about how successful the landing would be?

Same here, but there was the divergence in the feeds at about 10 mins to landing. This wasn't the difference from Armstrong's maneuver, but about a 5 minute delay. I assume CBS went on delay at the end so they could cut the feed in the event of a disaster.

By the way: "rough as a cob" has a fun derivation.

I love the fact that Cronkite even made a comment about how he just wants to shut up and let us listen to the audio in case something exciting happens.

103:02:05 Armstrong Houston, the guys that said that we wouldn't be able to tell precisely where we are are the winners today. We were a little busy worrying about program alarms and things like that in the part of the descent where we would normally be picking out our landing spot; and aside from a good look at several of the craters we came over in the final descent, I haven't been able to pick out the things on the horizon as a reference as yet.
103:02:43 Mission Control Roger, Tranquility. No sweat. We'll figure out - We'll figure it out. Over.

103:05:03 Collins Sounds like it looks a lot better than it did yesterday - -
                              103:05:05 Armstrong ...
103:05:06 Collins - - at that very low Sun angle. It looked rough as a cob then.
103:05:13 Armstrong It really was rough, Mike. Over the targeted landing area, it was extremely rough, cratered, and large numbers of rocks that were probably some, many larger than 5 or 10 feet in size.
103:05:35 Collins When in doubt, land long.
                              103:05:41 Armstrong So we did.
