It's not "implemented" in any way.

His campaign's purpose is to inject UBI into the national discourse. It's working. People are talking about it. It's at the "first they laugh at you" stage but before it was at the "zeroeth they give you a blank look and edge towards the door" stage. We are at Universal Health Care circa 1975.

UBI is 40 years off but it's coming unless we bomb ourselves back to where unskilled labor is rewardable work or we begin to fully educate our entire population beyond the animal training of our current system so everybody can do skilled, fulfilling, human work. Since the latter will never happen under a profit-centric economic system we better all hope the former doesn't happen and UBI becomes inevitable.

A day is coming when the MAGAts will be literally unemployable. We're almost there already. Without some way of taking care of them we're headed for a fascism even Republicans won't want to face.

If you want to say he got a discourse about UBI started then I agree. But his version is absolutely horrible and there's a reason he has a bunch of disgruntled alt-right chuds supporting him.

He doesn't have any "vision" at all that I can see. He's a hopped-up self-important VC with no ability to relate to anybody who isn't fluent in Bay Area Bitcoin Billionaire Bullsh-t. His type (Tim Draper, et al.) are douc-hebags of the first order but even they sometimes fall over somebody else's useful idea.

UBI will be a boilerplate Democratic plank by 2050 and a USG reality by 2060. Good for him for starting the ball rolling. He doesn't have to be America's sweetheart.

Castro and Tulsi have hit the donor marks, but still need to qualify in the polls.

Steyer is also close to the poll requirement, but is trying to make up ground in the donor requirement by asking for one dollar donations. If he really cared he'd be dumping money into purple districts.

I still haven't decided if it's better to get it cut down to one night, or if it would be better for two smaller debates if it gets to 11 qualifiers.

There comes a point when peaceful protest doesn't work.

Even the civil rights movement was backed by the credible threat of violence.

You want to protest the war at a base...perfect. If you want to go in guns blazing looking for Aliens you might want to up your meds.
They have signs up that specifically say you will be shot. It's a TOP SECRET BASE. Yet they plan to move forward with their storming of the gates? Good luck with that. I mean, we ridicule idiots who climb into zoo cages despite the warning signs, and we're going to NOT blame the stormers for something like this? Jesus.

And yes, it's not either riots or nothing. There are in-betweens. Let's find that part of it.
