            Hasn't been for a decade, the last time UAH was facing independence when teams from the CCHA didn't want them.

              Doesn't tie them down geographically so it will be easy to add ASU.
              This is problem with college hockey, such a narrow , short-sighted view.
              IHL = Intergalactic Hockey League

              Let's not paint ourselves into a corner and assume all the teams are going to be collegiate or from this planet. What if Space Force Academy has D-I on their moon base campus? I heard rumors they are making the jump to D-I immediately and U of HI will be their travel "pair" for scheduling.

                Will I skate faster in reduced gravity?

                  That's uncertain. During your glide, yes, you'd have less friction and would thus have a longer glide. During your extension, though, you weigh less and thus bite into the ice less.

                  The hell of it all is that the outdoor rink I have on the moon keeps sublimating.

                    Yes, but SFA will be much more accustomed to the ultra-low oxygen content of the moon's atmosphere. Advantage SFA.

                    I see them going undefeated at home their first several seasons until a technological type university comes up with a better oxygen harvesting system for their players. I also see SFA not winning a game on the road for an equally long time as they'll have issues with reduced muscle mass and trying to match the physical game of Earth based teams in the higher gravity environment.

                      I thought you were on the Moon Rink program team? That problem has already been solved. Here we see the SFA rink being tested at NASA back in 2001.

                        Outdoor rinks are different, and that material wouldn't fare well with the radiation environment.

                          That's good news because I spend most of my time gliding these days.

                            That may be offset by the extra weights you have to wear so you dont accidentally fly away...

                              I had to rescue Bobby Orr from low-lunar orbit.

                                A man died and went to heaven. St Peter was giving him the tour when he asked about hockey. So Peter took him to a grand ice arena. Out on the ice the man saw someone wearing a #4 Bruins jersey. He took off his cap and began to weep. Peter asked him what was wrong. "I didn't realize Bobby Orr had passed." Peter began to laugh. "Bobby is fine. That's God. He likes to pretend he's Bobby Orr."
