I considered both. I'll add them.

Monty Woolley's Sheldon Whiteside is one of the greatest obscure movie characters in history. We are among the last people who aren't film studies majors who will ever know him, and that is a shame.

The third Austin Powers movie is bad but s special exception must be made for Goldmember as a character:

              A what?

A shmoke und a pancake. You know, a flapjack und a shigarette? No? Shigar und a waffle? No? Pipe und a crepe? No? Bong und a blintz? No? Well, then there ish no pleashing you.”

Austin Powers sucked (the first one was ok).

And so did all of those ****ing terrible spoof movies. Those were some of the worst commercial dreck to ever come out of Hollywood.

I'm pretty sure they were aimed at tweens. In all honesty, it was that kind of humor. Porkys meets Tom Green.

I loved the first Austin Powers. The "Swinging London" opening is one of the most fun, joyful, on target movie openings I've ever seen.

You need to see it with eyes that still see Mike Myers as wittingly playing an over-the-top stupid character for laughs, not (as we learned) because that's all he can manage.

But I like The Love Guru. It gave us Justin Timberlake doing a terrible Quebecois accent. And properly mocked FOX Sports and hockey broadcasters in general.

*Edit* Also, at 14% it firmly meets the XKCD Movie Challenge of a movie generally sh*t upon that I like.

I liked the first two Austin Powers. Goldmember was okay for one viewing, but that was it.

Goldmember was also the source of one of the most niche pieces of bar trivia I've ever seen. "Who played Dr. Evil in the movie trailer parody scene?"

                            Oddly, same with Scary Movie.
Chris Elliot with the hand bit in Scary Movie 2 provides some of the best jokes of the series, though.

He was great in Bohemian Rhapsody as the cranky, old record label executive. He might have been brought on for this line alone, "We need a song teenagers can bang their heads to in a car. Bohemian Rhapsody is not that song."

I gotta admit, it sure does.

And to be fair I've never seen it, I've only heard the stories whispered around campfires at night.
