Actually just saw Saving Mr. Banks a couple days ago. Liked it. Quite the cast. Hanx, Emma Thompson, Bradley Whitford, Paul Giamatti, Jason Schwartzman, BJ Novak, Colin Farrell, Kathy Baker, Rachel Griffiths.
the state of hockey is good

Most of Cast Away is quite good. Just stop watching when he gets off the island. (No, that isn't a spoiler - it was in the freaking trailer!)

Wha? The post-island part of what ties it together.

Of course Kepler hates Hanks. He wouldn't be Kepler if he didn't.

No, no. I'm the one who believes there are objective standards of aesthetics. I believe some things are demonstrably better than others; Verdi > Alban Berg. I'd never argue you can't debate taste. Of course you can.

                  I'm a dick, but not a hypocrite.

There's a flaw, though. I like Clooney a lot and near as I can tell the Great Unwashed regard them as the same.

I even watched a RomCom with Clooney in it (it was good, too).

Was the romcom "Up in the Air"? Because honestly that's Clooney at his best.

I'll admit that not all of Hanks' movies are good, but never besmirch Philadelphia, Saving Private Ryan, Apollo 13, or The Green Mile.

Anything after the 90s, OK that's open to debate.

I mean, it'd be one thing if he saw them and didn't like them. But to not have seen like 80% of them kinda kills one's credibility in rendering a verdict.

Cast-Away, Captain Phillips, Saving Mr Branks, Sully, Catch Me If You Can, Road To Perditon, Bridge of Spies (those 2 I haven't seen but people liked), The Post, heck even the first two Dan Brown ones were fun if not a tad bit dumb.
