Hawthorne will be a good surprise. He is a strong goaltender with good technical skills and athletic. He stays calm in the net. He is a good signing.

Have you had a chance to see him?

Yes. I have seen him play with Port Alberni. He was the main reason they had any chance at all of winning a playoff game.

He was named Captain shortly after the season ended. Terrific choice. He’s earned it.

Looking at visiting Marquette for the SCSU series in November. We'd probably get in on Thursday night. Tips on places to see/things to do? Where do I want to be staying for convenience to the arena and/or local bars?

Ramada, Hampton Inn & Landmark Inn are all downtown! Lagniappe Cajun/Creole, Stucko’s Pub, Vango’s & Kildare Irish Pub are all good eats. Black Rocks, Ore Dock & Vierling have great brews and Breakers, Flanigan’s & Third Base are great places for a cold beer! And thank you St. Cloud for the great food, drink and hospitality last year!
