I'd heard BvR to NU shortly after the transfer list news leaked, so not surprised if that comes to pass.Sworn Enemy of the Perpetually Offended

With Margel's Letter of Intent, looks like he'll be part of freshman class. Souza said four or five, which may have had an eye on BVR. If so, that leaves one more spot.

Meanwhile, Warren Foegele (who?) is putting together a nice postseason with the Whale, evening up the Caps series 2-2 with another goal in 2-1 win tonight.

Originally posted by e.cat View PostNever did see any back story on Foegele as to why he was in the dog house with Umile. Another one of those unexplained myteries right up there with Mike Ayers laying an egg against Maine at the FF in St Paul!
Lots of weird things going on with the program in the final few years of the Umile Era. Probably the first thing WF encountered during his all-too-brief stay in Durham was the starting goalie getting arrested and then kicked off the team. By the time next Fall came around, and he's scrapping for ice time behind the likes of Correale/Gaudreault/MacDonald, Looking at it in retrospect from his perspective, it had to look like a total clown show, and looking at what he's done since, he can't have any second thoughts.
I'm still waiting for the purported journalists out there to uncover the whole BvR thing … I gave up long ago hoping someone would have the intestinal fortitude to get to the bottom of Foegele's fall-out with DU. These days, WF plays like a guy that the old UNH teams at the turn of the century really could have used. Strong skater, two-way game, big compete level … what's not to like?Sworn Enemy of the Perpetually Offended

UML hockey recruits involved in historic game
The Lowell Sun
SIOUX FALLS, S.D. -- Three UMass Lowell hockey recruits were part of an historic game Wednesday night.
Andre Lee, Brian Chambers and Carl Berglund went to bed happy -- and exhausted -- after their Sioux Falls Stampede defeated the Sioux City Musketeers, 3-2, in a four-overtime marathon before 4,295 fans.
It was the longest United States Hockey League game in the Tier 1 era. The game began at 7:05 p.m. and ended at 12:13 a.m. at the Denny Sanford Premier Center.
Lee, a forward, tied the game 2-2 in the third period. He was named the game's No. 3 star. Chambers and Berglund, also forwards, did not figure in the scoring.
Lee, Chambers and Berglund have little time to enjoy their historic victory -- Sioux Falls will play Friday in the Western Conference semifinals at Waterloo.
The other Western Conference semifinal has Des Moines facing off against Tri-City.
Another UML recruit, Matthew Brown, is one of the stars for Des Moines. He has three goals and an assist in two playoff wins after a 30-goal regular season. Brown, who led the USHL with seven shorthanded goals in the regular season, has one shorthanded tally in the playoffs.
-- BARRY SCANLONThe Souza record:
15-16 10th place
16-17 10th place
17-18 11th place
18-19 8th place
19-20 9th place
