He's averaged 73 minutes in penalties over the last 7 years. He should fit right in at Maine.
Its one thing to play a tough game...but we have seen all too much the dumb tough hockey that goes with the Gendron era over the last 6 years....here's hoping he comes in as a tough player that plays the game the right way. As always until on the ice and game conditions we can only wonder.....

Tough break for Ben Bishop. 52 saves but with an anemic offense they could have played all night and the Stars wouldn't have scored...

Alaska Anchorage coming to town October 11-12. We now know 5 of the 10 non-conference games.

Maine can't afford NCAA regional in Portland. Did not submit bid.

                What's the 5th game? I have (2) AA, (2) Omaha, (2) Quinnipiac (TBD)?

Don't we know a lot of the schedule based on owing return visits? Such as don't we owe St. Lawrence a series in Canton, Colorado College a trip to the Springs, and Princeton will be booking a trip to Orono?

I 100% understand and agree with the decision not to bid, as Maine can't afford $150,000. Having said that, that is a rounding error in BC's athletic budget. Maine should not be a division one athletics program.

If true, that would give us all of the OOC games!

I believe its that, plus one game @Yale, since they played in Portland for one game last year and CC came to Orono for a single game as well, so we owe them each one game.

Great Britain is in the top level of the World Championships for the first time since 1994, and Colin Shields is on the team at age 39.

Yes, but GBR may be holding the cellar door against FRA as they are without Stephane DaCosta who put Merrimack back on track in 2009-2011 seasons. The USA squad goes against SVK tomorrow at 2:15 p.m. start on NHL Ch. USA is loaded with former NCAA standouts like Eichel,Gaudreau, Krieder, Larkin, JVR and the Hughes brothers Quinn and undrafted and brother Jack. The usual suspects are teams to watch in the USA, Russia, Canada and Sweden with the Fins bringing in a strong dark horse group.

In that case it might be a Denver game and CC game the same weekend, great trip if it doesn't snow.

Div 1 is the right thing, paying to host a playoff - nope.
I guess portland could have ponied up with and in support of blue.
