I was hoping we would hear stories or quotes like that from gopher fans. He meant a lot to a lot of people in the world of college hockey.

The dude is basically the reason that Auto Racing has evolved to a point where we are going years between major injuries/death during events instead of days/weeks.

The guy was one of the people I looked up to and wanted to be like as I became an adult. Just a smart, down to earth dude who was the epitome of the Wild West days in auto racing in the 60s/70s/80s.
