The last time ever a Canadian team will play for one. RIP.

The Canadiens won it in 1993. The Flames were there in 2004, Oilers in 2006, Senators in 2007, Canucks in 2011.

Just admit that in your haste to take a pot shot at Canada, you got owned.

A Canadian team is going to end the drought at some point, probably in the next 5-10 years.

I admit it. But, I wasn't taking a shot at Canada. I like Canada. Wish I lived there. Vancouver or Nova Scotia are nice.

Maybe. Minnesota is still waiting for it's first ever Cup. So, it doesn't have to happen in 5-10 years. The one thing the Cubs taught me is how long things can take in Sports. And what Minnesota has taught me is never is entirely possible.

They'll have better odds if they can sell Ottawa to Quebec City. Melnyk owns a minor league franchise.

I'd be happy with an NHL where Canadian teams took half the Cups. Or for that matter an NHL where half the teams were Canadian, whether you want to get there by cutting Nashville or adding Brandon.

I can dream of an ideal NHL:
