Einstein is local to *something*, just like Newton was, just like Galileo was, just like Aristotle was, ... If you don't like the rules just find the larger frame.
But for the microprobes we don't even have to crack FTL. We just need to focus light tight enough to push a chip big enough for useful sh-t up to light speed and then, um, figure out how to decelerate it on the other side (not really clear how we're gonna do that).
