Pasties are the definition of a common food, nothing glorified about them at all. Really not sure what you're talking about.

But but but but but they are PASTIES! IT'S DIFFERENT! (if you ask the born and bred Yoopers; you are a transplant, for lack of a better definition).
Never really developed a taste for tequila. Kind of hard to understand how you make a drink out of something that sharp, inhospitable. Now, bourbon is easy to understand.

I have 3 bottles of wine (1 Rose and 2 bottles from Tabor Hill, a Michigan winery), and I spent money to get some Founders' Blushing Monk today. I've heard Blushing Monk is a more advanced Rubaeus.

Tabor isn't half bad. Round Barn, which isn't terribly far away from Tabor made the best pinot I've ever had. Unfortunately, subsequent years of that pinot weren't very good.

Blushing Monk is wonderful. I don't know if the 18/19 vintage is as good as the 15, but the 15 was worth hunting for.

Blushing Monk is Rubaeus on steroids.

Picked up what is probably the most expensive 6er I've ever bought today, although it was a build your own, as all of them come in single 12oz bottles/16oz cans:

2 Odell Jolly Russian (Rum BA stout)
1 Odell BA Lugene (BA Chocolate milk stout)
            1 Prairie Bomb! (BA stout)
1 Prairie Double Dunk (Oreos stout)
1 Mikkeller Traeblod (imperial stout w/maple syrup and coffee) (16oz can)

After the 10% discount and tax added, it was $53.

I have seen KBS everywhere lately, and I’ve never tried it, so I bought one. Didn’t age it (I know, I know, but I wanted it for today).

It punched me in the face.

Some beers need aging. The Scotch BA Silhouette is WAY too hot. It's ALL the peat. Can't taste anything else. Needs to cool down. Dark Lord is the same way: needs 1.5-2 years before it peaks (I've had a 14 year vertical with friends, all had the same opinion).

KBS' production was upped hardcore last year, thankfully. It's still a little pricey, around $6/bottle, but one of my favorites. It was solid fresh this year, not overly boozy like in years past.

Cracked the Mikkeller Traeblod. HOLY MAPLE. Not enough coffee for balance. It was very good for a maple stout, just was not as advertised.
