    Oh, boy.

A couple months ago, I got another of those annoying deep zits on my nose that I get from time to time. This one got really infected, though, and wouldn’t go away. Being busy with travel and work and babies (2 under 2), I made it to urgent care for some antibiotics a couple times, but couldn’t get in with a dermatologist until today. He took one look and said, “that’s no infection.” So whatever that thing that grew from nothing to a nickel size in 8 weeks is off at the pathology lab.

    Fingers crossed....
If you don't change the world today, how can it be any better tomorrow?

Nah - they’re 18 months (and 8 days) apart. It’s just that one of them is really young!

I am learning to walk again, which is great. However, I didn't think I'd pick up a nerve injury from doing so.

Also, if you need a joint fused in your foot, recovery will be slow, sometimes painful, and it can suck the life out of you.

His organization was one of the most involved in spreading disinformation about vaccines. Their actions almost certainly were one of the largest contributors to this outbreak and the dozens of deaths.

This would actually be great if it happened. People who willfully spread lies which cause public health disasters should be liable. Spread climate denial? Pay for the people who drown.

F-ck these f-cks. I am tired of post-fact 'Murika. Start making malicious liars pay.

                              Of note from the link:

The Democratic Republic of Congo, Madagascar and Ukraine have reported the highest numbers of cases this year. The United States has reported its highest measles case count in 25 years.

The article that you linked to says immunizations in the country plummeted after an incident that occurred last year in which improperly prepared vaccines caused the death of a couple of children.
That community is already in the process of dissolution where each man begins to eye his neighbor as a possible enemy, where non-conformity with the accepted creed, political as well as religious, is a mark of disaffection; where denunciation, without specification or backing, takes the place of evidence; where orthodoxy chokes freedom of dissent; where faith in the eventual supremacy of reason has become so timid that we dare not enter our convictions in the open lists, to win or lose.
