I was informed by someone at the Record that Ed had a cardiac event that took his life. Ed Weaver was a man of deep conviction and faith. Ed was a patriot. Many of you might not know but back in the day he wrote a column about current affairs with a conservative bent. I got to know Ed well the last yr of his life in which we would talked about hockey and politics. I will miss him greatly. Eternal rest grant unto your servant Edward, O Lord. And let the perpetual light shine upon him. And may the souls of all the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen.

Seth Appert's tribute to Ed on Twitter.
"So sad to hear of Ed Weaver passing. He was a fixture at the HFH covering RPI Hockey. Great friend of our program/college hockey"

          Very sad news indeed.

I wonder if HFH would be willing to do a moment of silence during the Princeton game...

Brandon Pirri: Turk would give it to Jagr. That's awesome! Jagr's untouchable. And he would give it to Jagr.

But isn't that is also Senior Night? I don't think that too many things should happen at one game.
