Re: RPI Recruit Thread 2015-16 Part II

On Saturday, the Los Angeles Jr. Kings U16 team defeated the Anaheim Jr. Ducks 0-0. Jacob Modry had no points or penalties. The information is based upon the CAHA schedule at http://www.caha.com/schedule.pl?d=13&y=2015& and stats at http://www.caha.com/stats.pl?d=13&y=2015&. The Tier 1 Elite box score http://www.pointstreak.com/prostats/...gameid=2823123 is not up as I write this.

Modry's Tier 1 Elite line is now 24-1-6-7-14.
Modry's CAHA line is now 10-2-1-3-2.
      His total is now 32-3-7-10-14.

IMO for a league that is the best US junior hockey league, they should be using a better software package. It is a significant downgrade at least for users compared to Pointstreak. It is one thing to suffer through its outages and lack of features for the SJHL, another for the USHL.
As you know RB, I’m also on the finishyourcheck forum. Most Posters are very unhappy with the U’s new page as am I. Heck, they even started a Thread about it.
Brandon Pirri: Turk would give it to Jagr. That's awesome! Jagr's untouchable. And he would give it to Jagr.

I read FYC at random intervals since most of what is posted is game predictions. I saw that thread when the current software was purchased but not yet used and didn't think about it. On subsequent visits to FYC it had fallen off the front page. My main problem with it is apparent lack of bandwidth since I often get messages during games that there are too may connections. The same problem occurs with the software at the SJHL site. There also is no Game Live like Pointstreak has. One can't sort High Scorers by one of the columns (e.g., to get the top goal scorers). Lots of negatives.

Edit: it is better than what I suffered through with Bradley Bell two years ago (also used by lots of HS's).

On Saturday and Sunday, Shattuck-St. Marys defeated the Culver Academy 4-1 and tied them 6-6. Emil Ohrvall had 2 assist in total. The stats were calculated from the schedule http://ssmathletics.org/sports/hocke...15-16/schedule and the cumulative stats http://ssmathletics.org/sports/hocke.../2015-16/Stats.

                        Ohrvall's non-Elite League line is now 16-10-11-21-4.
                        His total is now 31-22-21-43-6.

Confused and need a little help. We saw the Delbarton game last week and their goalie Troy Kobryn. Here is my confusion. They show him as facing 180 shots so far and making 186 saves for a save pct of 1.03 or better than 100%. How does that come about? Can a goalie have more saves than SOGs? it might be as simple as a typographical error but I have seen this stat in a few places.
Take the shortest distance to the puck and arrive in ill humor

Don’t know if this will have any effect on Fornaris but Topeka HC, Scott Langer, was fired..... http://cjonline.com/sports/2016-01-0...isYNfs.twitter

I saw that last week and had the same thought. It beats me.

As to affecting our recruits, Estevan has made a number of moves recently http://www.estevanbruins.com/news_ar...rrer_id=618160, including bringing in a D-man who played regularly in the WHL last season, however they also traded away a d-man, so it shouldn't affect manly that much.

I didn’t realize that happened 1/7. I just saw Yeti’s Tweet on it today.
