Re: BU Recruiting Update, Part 4
A few interesting tweets by Priority Selections, which focuses on prospects for the OHL draft:

On a serious note, Vlasic is still quite raw, but he's got a high ceiling. Moves the puck well and has the size and instincts you look for.
Also on a serious note: how is BU going to slot in McCarthy, Doyle, Webber, and now Vlasic? That's going to be a juggling act.

Re: BU Recruiting Update, Part 4
BU secures a verbal for 2020 from St. Sebastian's freshman RW Liam Connors. Had 15G, 13A skating on first line for Arrows, who reached Large School tournament semis. Connors was #6 on the Jeff Cox/SB Nation list of top uncommitted Prep '01s last month. #2 on the list, Cade Webber, committed to BU last month.

Six of the 46 2017 NTDP evaluation camp invitees are BU recruits for 2019 and 2020: Forwards Robert Mastrosimone (SSM) and Trevor Zegras (Avon Old Farms); D's Braden Doyle (Lawrence Academy), Case McCarthy (Jr. Sabres 16U), Alex Vlassic (Chicago Mission 16U) and Cade Webber (Rivers School).
Of the 16 defensemen invited, combined nine are BU, BC and Harvard recruits.

Originally posted by Rogie21 View PostThat's a strange conclusion given that there were six BU recruits out of the 45 invitees, including four out 16 defensemen, and the top-rated forward and third-rated D-man according to this ranking. Mastrosimone (#10 forward) was sidelined most of this year with a broken leg after putting up Keller-like numbers (no, he's not the next Keller) at Shattuck. BU could easily have four on the final squad, which is the same number as on the current U17s. We'll see.
