Thanks Scott. Get on it DrD. NJ kid! From USHR (2013).....Jonathan Bendorf (Mercer Chiefs) F, 5-11/170: His elite vision allows him to make plays that create scoring chances for his teammates. A threat off the rush, on the PP, and in settled in-zone situations. Already has a good frame; if he continues to grow he will become even more dominant. http://www.ushr.com/news/20130911/49...ntic-Challenge
Brandon Pirri: Turk would give it to Jagr. That's awesome! Jagr's untouchable. And he would give it to Jagr.

99 F Jon Bendorf (Team Comcast/Hun School) commits to RPI. Torched NJ-HS and AYHL scoring this year, has nose for net +offensive instincts.

              Re: RPI Recruit Thread 2015-16

2018 is a guess for now. Heisenberg has him as a 2017 recruit and a center. He is a rising junior, so that is possible, but I will keep 2018 for now.

Some good info when Bendorf was named PotW

                http://highschoolsports.nj.com/news/...of-hun-week-6/

NJ.com Ice Hockey Athlete of the Week - Jon Bendorf of Hun, week 6
Jon Bendorf (21) is the ice hockey athlete of the week. (William Perlman | NJ Advance Media for NJ.com)

                JON BENDORF, HUN

                Sophomore forward, 5-10, 180

JUST THE STATS: Bendorf has been lights out for Hun this season. The sophomore forward leads the Mercer County Prep with 16 goals and 23 assists. He put his best effort forth last week as he tallied nine points to help Hun win its first Prep Championship since 1996. Bendorf excels alongside Blake Brown, who has 16 goals and 20 assists. The two started the season on Hun's top line with freshman Frank Vitucci. Brown and Bendorf were joined by Evan Barratt at the beginning of the prep tournament and the trio didn't miss a beat. They had a hand in four of Hun's five goals in its 5-3 win over Morristown-Bread in the Prep Final.

COMPLETE COVERAGE OF THE PREP FINAL

THEY SAID IT: "We've been playing well as a team. There is no one guy that really led the way. We just played really good as a team and that's why we were able to win the two games in the Prep Tournament pretty convincingly. Winning the first Prep Championship in 19 years means everything to me. Just to bring back the state championship to Hun is great. I don't know what to say really, it's just a great feeling to be able to win a state championship and do it for the school. Blake (Brown) and I work great together. We always know where each other are going to be. I've been playing for a couple years now going back to travel at Mercer and we have always been a line together. We have great chemistry. Adding Evan (Barratt) helped a lot. He knows where we are going to be even if we don't know where we are going to be. He's great. He opens up so many doors to so man different opportunities to help us score goals. Having him back is definitely a big deal. It's great playing with my classmates. It means that I never have to worry about being the only guy or anything like that. I know I'll always have other people there to help out."

COACHES COMMENT: "Jon has got excellent vision. He sees the game very well. For all the guys that can skate fast and shoot hard, who are recognized for those two things, Jon can find passes, find his line mates and get to open pucks. If you watched him in practice doing the drills, he might not win the skills competition, but he sees the game very well. This season, sometimes it has been only him unfortunately. If Evan (Barratt) or Blake (Brown) are out or anybody else on the team, the pressure is on Jon. There have been games this year where we've really leaned on him and he's fine with that. He has three overtime game winners this year and when push comes to shove, he's a pretty clutch guy. Out of everybody on our team, he is the biggest in terms of getting our offense going." -- Hun coach Ian McNally

Turk-Know the team from years ago. Do not know anything yet about this kid. Statistics, well, are statistics. Description from others is really nice but would have liked to see The Hun School play this past year but with everything that had happened for us, we did not see any games. I will see what we can find and let you know.

FWIW, Chris Heisenberg says that Bendorf is a 2017 recruit while Hockey Commitments says 2018

Edit: The truth probably is that he could show up either year or even later depending upon how he plays, players leaving early. etc.
Edit 2: Elite prospects shows him as a 2018 recruit http://www.eliteprospects.com/player.php?player=311896.
