At least you are not in a complete hockey void!! You could probably even pick up a game or two in your travels.

Traverse City was a near "hockey void!" They had a "pay-to-play" junior team that no one cared about and Michigan HS hockey, which wasn't very good. I have driven through and or delivered to (off the top of my head) with my new job: Kalamazoo, Ann Arbor and Lansing, MI; Columbus, Oxford, Bowling Green and even Findlay (!), OH; Pittsburgh and Erie, PA; Buffalo, Rochester, Canton and Potsdam, NY and Burlington, VT. Plenty of D-I opportunities if I tried...

my son played a few bantam tournaments in Ft. Wayne. You could catch a game at the Madhouse on Mercer and be home in bed by 11PM.
too bad the Beavs aren't playing here this season. unless of course we end up hosting ya'll in the first round. ;-)

Nice win for the Beavers. It was 2-2 and scored with 22 seconds left to win it. We were outshot 10-1 early on and UMD really passed the puck well. We struggled in that category to the point where we turned over a simple reverse pass in power play and gave up a goal. Nice start!

Pretty good draw tonight being down 2 goals twice. Get a win in Grand Forks tomorrow and we will be undefeated with 2 wins after 2 weekends against the #1 and #2 teams.

Just got back from the UND game. They jumped out on us early, got outshot 10-1 for a while. North Dakota is big, fast, and handles the puck well. They're really good. We were 1/4 of a second away from a goal at the end of the 2nd period, but too late. I can't believe our power play. Last year it was a curse to be a man up, but this year we're scoring and scoring early. Although we wanted to win, I'll take a 4-4 tie, especially after falling behind in the first period.

This is the biggest thing I have noticed as well. Last year they were absolutely awful on PP. 3 of 5 tonight. Complete 180 from last year. Very encouraging.

                          We don't have a goalie.

what happened to UND goalie after the second? I didn't see anything to indicate he got hurt. Good game for the Beavs. Poor Pedan looked like he got cut. Hope he's ok.
