It wouldn't make any sense to pull your goalie with 2 minutes or so remaining to give you some extra practice right? I mean that's all it was after all, practice... *cue the Allen Iverson rant*
URF used their time out at 14:35....so that wasn't the reason

It appears that River Falls going 0-6 versus 1-4 on the power play and just breaking even on the SOG seen the writing on the wall.

Reme it is time for you to see that Coach McShane was just giving the Cadets some real-time experience on the 6 on 5 play to tune up games in the future where this situation may arise; it came to fruition last night playing against the Babson Beavers in a conference game. With the confidence that they gained from the Plattsburgh game they turned it into 2 points last night with only 5 sec to play the game.Way to go Coach Mcshane on teaching those Cadets to never give up.

It's a bummer that Skidmore leaves the Plattsburgh & Potsdam schedule after this year to make way for Canton joining the SUNYAC.

Imagine if the suit and ties have their way and lower the maximum game allowance.....

Canton(3-10-1), Skidmore(2-11-2) not sure what the big difference is. The exception being that Skidmore is an established program and Canton is a startup that played a ridiculous schedule. When will they decide about lowering number of games and why? How many games do D3 basketball teams play?

I know absolutely zilch about this, but am I correct in assuming this is another NESCAC-spearheaded initiative?

Is it a safe assumption that the coaches will be working the phones this week? I can't imagine any that would be in favor of this, except the NESAC.

Remember hockey is a niche sport based primarily in the northeast and Minnesota/Wisconsin...

Division III is much much bigger. Only about a 1/5th of the membership has the sport.

IMO the teams that get hurt the worse with fewer games are the ECACW and the WIAC. They will start to lose out on strength of schedule because the teams in conferences that are stronger like SUNYAC, NESCAC and ECACE in the east and NCHA in the west will have to give up games with them. They will probably have to start playing each other 4 times a season.
