The USCHO Fan Forum has migrated to a new plaform, xenForo. Most of the function of the forum should work in familiar ways.
Please note that you can switch between light and dark modes by clicking on the gear icon in the upper right of the main menu bar.
We are hoping that this new platform will prove to be faster and more reliable. Please feel free to explore its features.
I read on another group that the SD site tickets were all bought out by ND fans awhile ago. Only tix available are allotments to the participating schools and I can't imagine the schools get a lot of tickets.
Leaman doesn't seem to mind being on the road, feels they have been a better team on...
So here we go tonight. BC punched their ticket to Boston. By puck drop for our game we will know who we would play with a win tonight.
Played Merrimack way back in November. Lots of things have changed since that weekend split.
Merrimack always seems to play PC tough and don't want to fall...
Good crowd last night as well even without students. Hearing they might open dorms early next Saturday for students to attend the HE playoff game.
Centrella is one of the "experienced" defensemen on the team, he will be missed hopefully only for the HE tourney.
Sawyer appeared to be in a lot...
Last night results across college hockey prove how important this game today is for PC as the Friars dropped to 7th in the NPI without even playing. It's also important for UCONN as they are barely hanging on (but still ahead of BC),
Friars haven't played since last Saturday. UCONN played on...
They just looked totally out of sync on offense. Haven't seen that many offensive zone turnovers in period 2 all year, and some while on the PP. Didn't feel they were getting to the net much and how many swing and misses on shots in front of the net.
Wonder if the less practice time during the...
Wow, no posts for this weekend. I will make it brief.
Friars give up first goal early in first. Come back with a PP and shorty to take 2-1 lead after one.
In 2nd they add 2 to go up 4-1. Cats get one back 4-2 after 2.
Parsons with some big saves in 3rd keep VT off scoreboard. Adams closes it...
So due to the winds and cold on Saturday, no food trucks and no Pavilion, just get to the rink. It is also student acceptance weekend so there could be more folks on campus, may impact parking. For those of us with bball tix as well as hockey, Friar men play at the AMP at 4pm. Not an ideal...
Leaman on his radio show said Philip is at least 2-3 weeks away from any possible game action. He just got back on the ice with the goalie coach, skating mostly.
What about Simpson, when do we see him play. I don't imagine he signed just to sit for the rest of the season. Leaman did say he was...
What a win tonight. Outplayed the "pro" team most of the game. Shots on goal were significantly in Friars favor. The Kivioa line continues to impress.
Big 3 points on the line tomorrow at Agganis.
McQueen turned 19 in September or October I believe. Not sure what the age requirements are for being able to play in the AHL.
Hope the students show up for tonight. They did a pretty good job of sticking around last Saturday for 3rd period.
Friars absolutely have to stop the penalties...
It's a great watch. Also the USCHO podcast had conversation about both schools' situation.
Now we see how well Simpson integrates into the team room and playing time. And what happens if or when Phillip is back.
Barr has brought Maine back from the abyss last few years. Not sure why their play has been up and down this year. They did lose a lot of talent from last year.
It was nice to keep the Maine crowd quiet last 2 nights and see them walking out early after that third goal closed things off for PC...
Listened to Nate on his radio show tonight. Philip to be evaluated tomorrow but don't expect to see him for this weekend. Coach was very open on his disappointment for the team play this past weekend including in himself not getting them prepared like they needed to be. Highly recommend...
Well another Saturday night stinker. Friars drop 5-1 loss that dropped them 7 places in NPI. More importantly they may have lost their most important player heading into HE action. Philip did not look in good shape coming off the ice with no weight on his left leg. Will find out more on leaman...
We kind of knew the blue line would be a weak point based on all the experience lost from last year. Hopefully the second half of the year will see much better numbers.
4th line started out the year great but tailed off some of late.
Big 2 games this weekend to close out OOC schedule, need...
Last game before the Holiday break tonight at Brown. 2 years in a row at Meehan and Leaman doesn't mind it according to what he said in his last radio show. Quicker ice, opens the game for them. Brown won at Schneider two seasons ago if memory serves me so he may right about that. Friars have...
