    Congrats to Kirk MacDonald and his WBS Penguins on a heck of a year...they were eliminated from the Calder Cup playoffs by the Marlies. They were the youngest team in the AHL and Kirk guided them to a 46-17-7-2 regular season record.

    I don't have specific knowledge, but i believe that as part of the new ice/boards/glass installation that the walkway ring around the ice will be a bit different, including the removal of some seats ...but again, I'm working from dim memories of brief glances at renderings...

    At the risk of leaving others out, I would add the Angers-Goulet brothers to your list. Mathieu is an orthopedic surgeon and Alex is a very skilled cardiac surgeon.

    Clarkson conference schedule drop shows RPI will be in the north country early part of the season on 11/6/26 (SLU) and 11/7/26 (CCT). And HFH will host them on 1/29/27 (CCT) and 1/30/27 (SLU)

    I agree 100% Doc. Time will tell how we measure up against the league ...as they all are pursuing the CHL path to recruiting. More than anything, I hope we have a new ice surface completed in time to freeze some water come August ! LOL

    If the source of the funds is someone other than the Pennsylvania taxpayer, then I'm guessing the freedom of information rules don't apply....just a guess. Reports were that McKenna received in the neighborhood of $600k for his brief stay in "academia" lol.

    My understanding is that PSU hockey is self-sufficient and operates in the black, thanks to the Pegulas massive gift and other fund raising.

    I happened to be near the HFH today and swung through to lay eyes on things. Excavating crew was working on the area outside the rear of the rink. The old exterior chiller equipment is gone and it appeared as though the crew was working on new piping and prepping the area for new concrete pads...
