The USCHO Fan Forum has migrated to a new plaform, xenForo. Most of the function of the forum should work in familiar ways.
Please note that you can switch between light and dark modes by clicking on the gear icon in the upper right of the main menu bar.
We are hoping that this new platform will prove to be faster and more reliable. Please feel free to explore its features.
I haven't laid eyes on it myself, but a friend reports that work is underway at HFH, including the removal of the glass partitions in the Jackson Memorial Mausoleum seating area. The were removed and packaged for storage....dunno the reason for this.
Just augment what Sez offered...from Lang's final appearance on Wyland:
CCT game
-game "went to script"
-Didn't think RPI was sharp early on, defended more than they wanted to
-30 blocked shots, kept CCT chances to the outside, RPI scored first
1st Year of Lang
-Team did a "great job at...

I had a chance to go back and listen to Lang's weekly appearance on Wyland's radio show. A few of his primary thoughts:
- Our goal in August was to be playing our best hockey late in the year...and we are trending that way
- Team has surrendered something like 2 goals or less in 7 of the last...
NCAA approved patches in January .

"...Effective Aug. 1, all Division I teams will be permitted up to two additional commercial logos on their uniforms and apparel...
Agree on all fronts. CCT appears to have righted their ship of late, after a very roller coaster regular season. I saw them play Friday night in a win at Colgate. Their keeper gave up a fair amount of juicy rebounds that Gate couldn't capitalize on.....but he shut the door in the 3rd when...
RB, What are the thoughts on Hecker ? He's very young of course, but he seems to be outside the recruiting profile of kids Lang has assembled so far. I'm guessing he knows the kid from his regional / Connecticut connections ?? I just haven't heard many thoughts on what to think of him...or...
IBT, I can completely confirm your friend's view that RPI fans have been beaten down to a bloody pulp...as I am one....ha ha. I won't bore you with rehashing of what is widely known.
The real, measurable change at RPI started in 2022 when they hired Marty Schmidt '81 as the new Prez. The guy...
Times Union posted a great group of pics from the Freakout and post game Alumni house. Certainly has the feel of a renaissance in progress !! GO RED

Notes from Lang's weekly appearance on Wyland's radio show:
-Continued buy-in , commitment and improvement from the squad
-Out worked both teams ...2 GA, 2 penalties total, limiting odd man rushes and getting 5 back on defense
-Trending toward playoff hockey -- effort and intensity
-Credited...
I agree with all of this. Also bears repeating that we will likely lose a player or three to NIL and we also don't know who Lang will target to bring in as transfers. There will likely be a nice crop out there, given the influx of CHL skaters. I'm in the minority here, but I'm not convinced...
