This is all old thinking. With the addition of the CHL player all records and National Championships etc. mean nothing but long ago history. This is the first year of the modern era so going forward that's how teams will be remembered.
Is it though? We were hearing this from the Canadian side, after adapting to the college game and school many of them are probably having fun enjoying school.
Michigan like Minnesota will be young and talented the games between them are always like a NHL game. Neither team will be winning a National Championship on such an inexperienced roster.
