The USCHO Fan Forum has migrated to a new plaform, xenForo. Most of the function of the forum should work in familiar ways.
Please note that you can switch between light and dark modes by clicking on the gear icon in the upper right of the main menu bar.
We are hoping that this new platform will prove to be faster and more reliable. Please feel free to explore its features.
I agree with you in one breath - the larger rink provided a home ice advantage. But in the second breath I think the familiarity of the Olympic size rink was a detriment when they had to play Hockey East tournament games at NHL size rinks.
I’m so happy to hear this turned to not be a serious injury. I wish him a complete recovery. Paul Culina will help him to get back on the ice when he is ready.
After they have had years to sweep up greasy chicken nuggets, French fries, tons of paper products, and styrofoam containers and gallons of soda, I’m guessing beer won’t be a big deal.
I won’t speak for all season ticket holders, but as one for many years, I can say Maine does indeed do this. I’ve gotten a call towards the end of the season.
I don’t understand the purpose of the recent ushers. Rotary? Kiwanis? Whomever they are. I see them wearing their jackets and watching the game. If you need assistance to find your seat, they do help. But asking chit-chatters from clogging the aisle or stopping people from going up or down the...
I just saw a BDN bit saying that starting at the end of September Maine fans will be able to buy a beer or hard seltzer and take their beverage back to their seat. No alcohol related incidents were reported last seasons at either beer garden at hockey of football. The students are still...
I can only assume that Coach Barr and staff get this type of potential recruitment, but on the off chance, I hope you send your work to them. Very interesting work, Sparkee!!!
Who is the tournament selection committee? Are they just employees of the NCAA? Or are they Athletic Directors? Or some conglomeration of various entities?
Please don’t blame the Saturday UNH loss on Whale. I honestly, as a Maine fan, do not see the goals by Russell, Scholle, or even Nadeau are on him. Those were system breakdowns and not goalie faults. Jared is a good goalie.
I agree with Grooverider. UNH will try to get Maine out of Barr’s game plan. Gagne is a very physical defenseman. Maybe a bit slow-footed, but tenacious. Conmy is small and likes to stay near the blue line in hope of getting an odd man rush. Whale might have his weaknesses but he can help UNH...
