The USCHO Fan Forum has migrated to a new plaform, xenForo. Most of the function of the forum should work in familiar ways.
Please note that you can switch between light and dark modes by clicking on the gear icon in the upper right of the main menu bar.
We are hoping that this new platform will prove to be faster and more reliable. Please feel free to explore its features.
Set the price the same way literally all prices are set. What is somebody willing to pay for the service provided? IMO, Sparkee is in the right ball park if there is a reception included.
I always heard the soils on Marsh Island were not conducive for parking structure and they would settle/shear faster than other buildings. Though I'm no GeoTech so don't quote me.
I also wouldn't support uprooting long tenured student organizations in the name of parking.
I expect the D core to rotate every game. There's too many dawgs back there to keep someone on the bench regularly during the regular season.
Holt, Frank, and Chabrier will play every game. The freshman (minus Motew probably) will rotate
This is sort of where I'm at. If Maine had the foresight to play Denver on the road last year and hosted this year, would we be having this conversation?
I doubt they end up at Lindenwood. We usually bring in an independent in because they don't require the home and home agreement. They haven't played at an independent since the Alaska trip in October 2014
I'm not surprised about the OOC schedule. It aligns with what they have done in the past. In hindsight, we probably should have went to Denver last season to deliver marquee matchups each year. Colgate is no pushover though. They finished 3rd in the ECAC last season. Holy Cross and Lindenwood...
I agree that's the simplest but they can't add a men's sport without adding a women's sport due to Title IX. The football roster is so large, women's sports would not be considered to have the same opportunity. (Probably but I'm no expert on Title IX)
Interesting tidbit from the ESPN article on the SCORE act:
Maine currently offers 15 programs (7 mens + 8 womens). The bill has a long way to go before it is even voted on, but for sake of thought: what programs would you add?
I vote rowing. The Stillwater Icebreaker Regatta would be incredible.
Disappointing. Hockey East really needs to figure out a schedule where rivals play 3x every year. Maine not playing in Durham is bad for both fan bases and the sport in general.
The roster for 2025-2026 is posted. Is this a sign another add is unlikely?
Also, I've got an old man yells at cloud take. I hate that Poirier is #93. I always love when teams are numbered 1-49.
My gut feeling is we won't see a Big10 opponent this year. Past schedules have included independents (no need to agree to a home and home agreement) and a few ECAC teams. The OOC is already strong with DU and QU on the road. My guess from a month or so back was Holy Cross, Dartmouth, and LIU and...
It seems unlikely. Only ND, MSU, PSU, and Wisconsin have any openings on their schedule.
MSU and ND already have east coast Hockey East swings scheduled, so I doubt they double dip. Penn State may consider it as they have a soft nonconference schedule. Wisconsin only has a mid season and the...
There is no obligation to spend the money, it is just an option. What remains unclear is if schools opting-in in future years retain the "designated student athlete" clause to ease in the roster limits.
