The USCHO Fan Forum has migrated to a new plaform, xenForo. Most of the function of the forum should work in familiar ways.
Please note that you can switch between light and dark modes by clicking on the gear icon in the upper right of the main menu bar.
We are hoping that this new platform will prove to be faster and more reliable. Please feel free to explore its features.
Really trying to start another bickering contest with Nubs? On one hand, it is a source of entertainment. On the other hand, it definitely pollutes the thread.
Oh, Nubs already derailed the Utica thread. I guess this thread, started by me, will simply be collateral damage. Let the games begin.
Beats me... so many chances but just can't find the back of the net.
After looking at the replay on Boxcast... that is way too close to overturn without replay assistance. What a crock of, pardon my French, shit. Robbery of three points right there.
What a strange weekend of hockey... first the home game gets postponed due to the cold, then the fire alarms go off in the Kern Center, and the game has been postponed after one period again. Broadcast said that something about water pipes, but I may be mistaken. What kind of knock-off Twilight...
Well last night they ran into a hot goalie. They don't seem to get many "greasy goals" (i.e. rebounds in the crease, or deflections). This worked for a while because they have plenty of shooting talent on the roster. When that well dries up, however, offense gets difficult to generate.
I'm...
This isn't necessarily true, at least in hockey; higher-end D3 performers often find themselves in the FPHL, SPHL, or even the ECHL and AHL. D3 players in the NHL is very rare though.
Dombrowsky was actually centering the third line... I imagine it was just for the exhibition game. Lindstrom wasn't playing. I wouldn't look too closely into exhibition lines.
Can't say that I'm surprised... I've heard some rumors that the project is running into financial hurdles due to new tariffs on materials, though I could be wrong on the specifics. That sucks, but I'm sure the players and coaching staff were informed of this ahead of time. I would be remiss if I...
I don't see how that contradicts anything that I said. Also, St. Norbert's 24-25 roster had multiple players who played in the USHL, most notably Brock Baker, who was an alternate captain for the Madison Capitols.
Not going to dispute that. Those final two periods were emblematic of SNC's problems all season; get a lead, fall asleep and hold on for dear life after you get scored on. It happened against Gustavus too. I told myself after the Gustavus game that SNC wouldn't be able to play like that against...
I know that. I'm talking about the skill increase as a result of borderline D1 players that will play D3 because of their roster spots being taken away by CHL players.
