The USCHO Fan Forum has migrated to a new plaform, xenForo. Most of the function of the forum should work in familiar ways.
Please note that you can switch between light and dark modes by clicking on the gear icon in the upper right of the main menu bar.
We are hoping that this new platform will prove to be faster and more reliable. Please feel free to explore its features.
Tough for me to get excited when the team finishes bottom 4 every year, and there seems to be no appetite from the AD/administration to make a coaching change
I was hoping we'd get Julius Sumpf. He's a german forward who played for quite some time in Austria so was hoping for a connection with Lange. But it was reported on twitter that he's going to Providence
Janus is not in the incoming class, so he can be removed. Neither are Adrian, Shaw, Ziliotto, and Oakenfold. I'm pretty sure Ziliotto is still committed, and I'd be surprised if we dropped Adrian, but I don't know about Shaw and Oakenfold
New commits:
Jack Gorton from BU
Ethan Elias from St. Thomas
Matt Buckley from OHL
Joey Henneberry from QMJHL
Gorton stinks. Elias is solid, liked him in Madison. Buckley had a good year last year but mediocre year this year, he shoots the puck a lot though so I think he's closer to last year's...
I think Oakenfold is coming, so it does appear we're one short. Probably either Janus or Adrian as you said. Hopefully that means it will be released soon.
Pretty challenging schedule. Probably won't be looking at too many non-conference wins. Weird that most of the Saturday games are at 4pm. They've never done that before and I don't understand why they're changing it
I haven't had any luck getting it fully confirmed, but I don't want to keep you guys waiting. So don't take this as 100%, but I'm pretty sure they got Bruno Bruveris committed in net. Latvian goalie from Miami in the portal
Funny that the goalie discussion is coming up today as I believe we have gotten a commitment out of the portal. I am currently working on confirmation before I report it on the blog/twitter
Oster is good if they want to bring in two freshmen to compete, but would be a bit risky. Torrance would shore up our forward group as an option in the top 6
Yeah the goalie to split with Krawchuk is easily the biggest need. Barring any unforeseen decommitments, we are set at defense and probably forward (although we have room for one more if we want)
