I'd love a little chaos with the remaining conference tournament games across D1. So many win and you're in scenarios that could leave a few (as of now) tournament teams on the outside. The Atlantic doesn't matter, they're likely locked in as the #16 As of today, St. Thomas would be a lock for...

As disappointing as it was to see Bennett and Liam having greater success at their second stop than for PC, had they stayed I don't know who you bench for them. The 4th line seems too valuable to break up. I think Tanner was comparable to Schimek but don't know if the latter would have been put...

Since we hit the end of the regular season schedule, a thought: This year's team seemed to play a lot safer and smarter hockey. Limiting the fancy passes getting intercepted by the opponent, turning them into breakaway opportunities. The streak of no SHG surrendered was nice while it lasted. It...

Accurate on Sawyer! Saw glimpses of potential with him throughout his freshman year, but much improved this year and on the right path that NCAA hockey is meant to be - development for the pros.

Good win, steady in the NPI. Didn't get out without a couple of injured players (Sawyer DTD per Leaman and Centrella might be done for season). Next up is worst team standing between #8 and 11 Saturday.

Looks like the Bradley is out as far as pre and postgame attendance until next season.

I see PC has their game on the 14th against lowest remaining seed. Did anybody find a time yet or TBA? While I'd love to see Svedeback play on senior night, that very minor separation from teams below in the NPI feels more important. Maybe give Svedeback the third period with a comfortable...

And a completely different game tonight. Did just enough to get the win on the road, regular season conference champs alone. Close to #5 Penn State after their loss to Notre Dame, but just a hair ahead of Quinnipiac.

Very slow. Uneventful game with few penalties (surprising since Esposito was part of the crew), not much excitement. Sure, conference champs for the regular season after BC lost, and this dinged them a bit in the NPI (I still want to call it pairwise!), but with Quinnipiac and Duluth both...

Always thoughtful input, Mike. I often looked at D1 hockey in two groups: Those who recruit to develop players (Like a Providence, or a Denver for example) or those trying to buy immediate success. To me, a program like BU is one that chases the big names, and with a few exceptions, the results...

Not at all. I've occasionally seen the negative comments on Twitter in particular. Not a peep during a win streak but they drop a game and the clowns roll out of the car. Nate and the coaches around him are doing some incredible work attracting players that often seem to be highly talented but...

Shame on anyone who was pushing the "PC hockey needs a new coach" narrative. I would be embarrassed if I was among that little cluster of nega/never-Friars. If they hate PC that much maybe they can latch onto Brown instead....

I hadn't looked at the FO numbers from the game but that's disappointing, considering that's often been a strength of theirs. Of all their centers it seems like Roger is one of the few to be on the + side on the dot, and pretty consistently.

Thank you Cornell! A lot of NPI watching going on. Liked what I saw from the Friars in game 1. Responded in bunches after giving up a first, early goal. Every time this happened since Parsons got the starts PC has responded great. In past years this is a game PC would have collapsed in. 1 goal...

My ears are still ringing from the screechers behind me tonight. Holy hell. But a great win and bounce back. Like the stability in the NPI with the win. Dartmouth dropped a good bit losing to Brown. PC is actually closer to 5 than I realized, I thought that was out of reach. Denver has two...

Tough loss to end the win streak. Some questionable calls and non-calls, which seems to be a running theme with officiating in HE this season. It seemed like they couldn't decide whether to let them play, or call every little incident. Very inconsistent. Still 6 in NPI. Can't win them all. Both...

Anybody else baffled about the NPI formula? I ask in reference to BC losing at home last night and it looks like they actually moved up. Maybe I'm being ignorant of other results, but how does a home loss actually benefit them, unless it's one of those throwaway games that doesn't count?

I went through their online paper today to search for PC hockey. Nothing. PC and Brown basketball, men and women's, high school sports, Super Bowl (as it should be covered). They've probably put up some Red Sox offseason articles front of the sports too. But can't find space for a blurb on PC's...

ProJo coverage of PC's rise in hockey is completely non-existent. A shame that they hang onto the basketball program so tightly. While their hockey coverage has always been subpar, when Divver left it seems like it's just gotten worse. Can't say they're shorthanded, pumping out articles on...
