The USCHO Fan Forum has migrated to a new plaform, xenForo. Most of the function of the forum should work in familiar ways.
Please note that you can switch between light and dark modes by clicking on the gear icon in the upper right of the main menu bar.
We are hoping that this new platform will prove to be faster and more reliable. Please feel free to explore its features.
Wow, I've never seen this league so bunched up at the top! After tonight, Mavs could win the whole thing outright, or be a road team for the playoffs. Suspect they'll hold serve and get a first round home game, but you never know if the scorers are going to show up. Hoping Tracy brings his...
Well, Augustana was certainly the better team in that series. I'd like to think the Mavs performance was due in part to schedule fatigue...no weekends off in the first half. Lets hope the guys get some mojo back after the holiday break...
I don't know anything about these incoming guys but quite a few are from schools with good credentials (e.g., WMU, Duluth, Wisco & Omaha). Is it too optimistic to think Mavs will be contenders again next season?
If a portal player remains unclaimed, what options does he have? Also, for a team that adds portal transfers, does that reduce the number of incoming freshmen recruits they can bring in? Help me out here, I'm not sure how all this works...
Just checked Google maps...turns out that Miami U. in Oxford, Ohio is 48 mile from the Cincinnati airport, which is actually in KY. I also note that St. Cloud is 79 miles from the MSP airport, same as Mankato. I thought St. Cloud was an outer suburb. Bad geography on my part.
NCHC conference travel is based primarily on commercial flights, less so on busses, except within MN and ND. Every team in that conference is close to an airport. Mankato in not.
According to my calculations (possibly incorrect) the Mavs need 5 points total from the next 4 games to win back the McNaughton Cup from Auggie. One win and a two pt. tie. If BG sweeps their next four games the Mavs would need 8 points out of 12 to clinch. I like their chances.
Gotta say the OT goal by the Mavs last night was a thing of beauty. I could watch that replay all afternoon.
Still concerned with their inability to hold third period leads. They'll get a good test this coming weekend.
Go Mavs.
