    The best of 5 makes sense to me in that the PWHL regular season is only 30 games, whereas the NHL regular season is 82. I am thankful it's not a 3 game series, which I hate in all sports. Being a non-hard core PWHL fan, why do they only play 30 games? That seems really low. Going to 12 teams...

    The talent spread out over more teams will create more quality opportunities for more players. 3rd line players can become 2nd line players and in turn get special teams opportunities. It also creates mismatch opportunities and spreads the goaltending out a bit more which could increase scoring.

    With single elimination playoffs I'm not worried at all. The nhl draft is based on potential, not in the moment performance. McKenna wasn't an omg player. On paper the MI teams should destroy everyone. They didn't destroy us last year.

    I agree, but I like to look at things in perspective. It never hurts to have "experts" like your incoming class. If the class was unranked, I will admit I'd be slightly apprehensive. The portal eases the angst as long as you get a guy or 2 who can produce now.

    I think most rodent posters, if they had to pick 1 team to lose to, would pick UW over TWSNBN. I'd pick the rodents over TWSNBN even though the rodents have caused me to spend way more money on paint thinner and rehab than TWSNBN.

    All 3 had losing records last year but they are by name an upgrade. 2 of the 3 have made the NCAA's in the past.

    Interestingly, Haley Box ended up playing with the Dolphins along with Mossey. She had 37g 29a last season and was the 4th highest scoring F on the team. Mossey had 36b 33a for 69 pts. The next highest scoring D had 24 pts. There is a D there, Mia Venusio, who had 22 points. Could be...
