The USCHO Fan Forum has migrated to a new plaform, xenForo. Most of the function of the forum should work in familiar ways.
Please note that you can switch between light and dark modes by clicking on the gear icon in the upper right of the main menu bar.
We are hoping that this new platform will prove to be faster and more reliable. Please feel free to explore its features.
Where are you going to expand LaBahn?
Bounded to the north by The Nick; bounded to the east by the Kohl Center and the Nicolas-Johnson practice building; bounded to the west by part of what's known as the East Campus Mall; bounded to the south by access to the KC "loading dock", the city's bike...
(While noting that we're doing this on the Ohio State thread, for some reason)
if you draw up a list of 'concerns' for the coming season of Wisconsin women's hockey, "goalie" is at the bottom of the list.
smh ...
I assume you're just giving 'weekends', instead of actual dates. But Oct 3rd is Homecoming, so likely no hockey that day (football vs Michigan State). And the Friday after Thanksgiving is a night football game in Camp Randall vs Minnesota. So, no hockey on Nov. 27.
Conference schedule announced. Open at Ohio State, end the year vs Ohio at Labahn. Four home series before Christmas, three after. Thanksgiving weekend open, so some four team holiday thing somewhere? Nothing on the first weekend of November, so maybe Canada-US Rivalry series...
Yes, I'm sure. No idea what might have gone on at Ridder- I've only been there once, for the 2018 final four. But the "Harvard band" at LaBahn I saw in person, and it was discussed here on the forum at the time.
Without checking PWHL rosters for the first two years, I know that from this year's winners, Abby Roque is missing an Olympic gold (and maybe WC, too?), and Desbiens - amazingly - is missing an NCAA championship. From memory, Britta Curl was on a championship-winning Frost team?
That is somewhat "chicken and egg", though; the building isn't big enough to sell enough tickets to generate revenue. To borrow from "Field of Dreams", "If you build it, will they come?"
She led the conference - and the nation - in goals-against, and was second in save percent (7th in the nation).
How much of a "jump" can she make from there?
Posted to her Instagram yesterday. She can be both coming to UW, and "not coming in 26-27".
But you guys "in the know" can fight this one out. LOL

Assuming that the NCAA adopts the "5 in 5" eligibility change, there will essentially be no more 'taking a redshirt year'. The only way for someone like Mossey to delay her five-year clock from starting is to not enroll in college at all. If she enrolls, whether she plays or is a 'healthy...
Both Rachel and Nicole Gorbatenko redshirted 2025-26; they were not 'in the lineup' at all. But Rachel will be (almost exactly) two years older than Mossey, and have a year of practicing with Murphy and Potter etal under her belt. And pretty much everyone who is recruited to UW (and Ohio State...
With Harvey and Jungels graduating, UW loses their top D pair. Ava Murphy, Potter, Venusio are all experienced; Makenzie Jones' minutes were more limited, so she's less "proven". After that, with Bickett leaving, the "third pair" will be freshmen. Three freshmen defenders including redshirt...
It hadn't occurred to me until this morning, and I had to check to be sure, but if she does come back, Enright will have the chance to match Eden's four championships. Her medical redshirt year was 2023-24, with championships won in 2022-23, 2024-25, and 2025-26.
