The USCHO Fan Forum has migrated to a new plaform, xenForo. Most of the function of the forum should work in familiar ways.
Please note that you can switch between light and dark modes by clicking on the gear icon in the upper right of the main menu bar.
We are hoping that this new platform will prove to be faster and more reliable. Please feel free to explore its features.
While that might frighten me, but given that women's hockey brings in nothing financially compared to the financial outlay it takes to fund the program I don't think she has that leverage.
No, but it sure feels like that at times. The current plan they have projects it at 5 years out but it's been pushed back so many times over the past ten years it wouldn't surprise me if something else came up to delay it.
Funding college sports is crazy and unstable currently which is the main factor Ohio State isn't pulling the trigger on the long promised new hockey arena without a mega donor and other Big Ten schools getting a women's hockey program.
Only a section of the metal sheeting on the roof came off. Easily repairable.
Also the Veterans Park ice rink in Ann Arbor lost a wall.
Here's a link to view the Yost damage...
From my experience with UM it all comes down to money. Their two options are expand the south end of Yost or build a new arena. From what I hear there is if a new facility is built the administration prefers placing both the men and women's teams in it as they baulk at the thought and cost of...
The innuendo towards Ohio State players being paid rampantly is amusing to say the least. If you're going to make a claim, even veiled throw some evidence out there, names & figures.
It was a good game, the exciting part was close to the end with Duluth making a strong push and Michigan looked to be on their heels. Congrats on the win.
You are correct about regular season games but only because the WCHA contracted with them to carry the games. I would add they wouldn't have the national championship game regardless of it being two Big Ten schools playing as it's the NCAA's baby
I know Quinn and her loyalty is to herself. What I mean by that is she milks her image and working now for BTN she's going to side with the winning team. I guarantee you if Ohio State had won she's say once a Buckeye always a Buckeye. 😂
Thanks, our women's team has a rough time getting calls against the Badgers they deserved but that's hockey right?
Good luck to Michigan in the NCAA tournament, do the Big Ten proud!
I'm going to say is you don't know what I know about him. But he only went after those who came on OUR thread being rude and arrogant first. He never started it. Disagree if you want but those are indeed the facts.
